TheBlindBox S2 Ep4 Ft J*Ryu
Talk about starting off the week right here at The Blind Box. This past weekend was Clutter Gallery’s “DTA 2″ show. Today is the release of J*Ryu’s 8” “It’s A FAD” Dunny for Kid Robot. Just so happens we have J for the first segment of this episode of The Blind Box. Jesse talks about getting his love for sculpting, his connection to the DTA/Clutter Gallery show, his first production piece with Kid Robot, being a part of the fraternity of Dunny artists, his influence of Tim Burton, his love for collecting “Japanese robots from the 70’s”, democratization of technology, the overlap in street culture/hip hop & toys (and how toy’s might not even be the word for them..) as well as J*Ryus’ top 3 hip hop albums from the 90’s when the shoe’s on the other foot for “3’s A Crowd”. We also talk a little about white people & wash cloths because thats..what we do here sometimes. In segment 2 @5LIM aka Jewelz stops by to talk about randomness including the NBA, his love for rappers with terrible names, GM’s youth basketball experience, the Knicks & The Tacoma Nets as well as Raiders vs 49’ers fans. Why doesn’t Catf1sh tweet “LOL”? Yeah, we cover that too…The Blind Box is going strong, check it out and tell a friend. Also, disclaimer: If you listen to our show for Toy Segments & decide to listen to a different show/segment, please keep in mind this podcast is for entertainment. It is a Blind Box because you never know what you may get. You may agree, you may disagree, but we’ve never come up short of having a thought out opinion. If you’d like to talk about it any further you can email iamnyinfo@gmail dot com for complaints, feedback, input, etc. Thank you for checking out The Blind Box, we appreciate y’all.
